I am in Iraq right now, and brought my PS3 with me. My TV back home was a Samsung 1080P HDMI. I am trying to get it to convert back so i can play it on my tv here in Iraq using a/v jacks?

To reset the video output:
1. While the PLAYSTATION 3 system is in standby mode (red light on the front of the system), hold down the touch-sensitive On/Off button on the front of the system until the PLAYSTATION 3 beeps twice (approximately 5 seconds), then release it.
2. The PLAYSTATION 3 will power up, the Video Output Settings will automatically reset to the standard resolution (or detect the current display output settings of your TV/monitor).
You can also go to XMB home menu > settings > display settings > video settings and press “X” button then select the appropriate setting and pres “X” button !
Hold down your power button for 10 seconds or so (passed the first beep until it does some beeping again). This will reset the video settings and should display through the A/V cables.
If it’s not and HDTV with Hdmi input then it can’t play in 1080P. You can only use the standard cables ( red white yellow).
You can buy and HDTV but im not sure if you’d really want too. How long are you in Iraq?
