i don’t think that this repair will be worth it. unfortunately, RCA TVs are pieces of garbage, and have horrible maintenance records. i dont even think that they are in the HDTV business anymore.
This is the reason why RCA’s sell for such great prices. They need almost 3 times the repairs of the other major brands. Which is sad because RCA had such a great name in tv’s. Anyway, the repair is $125 if it can be done in 15 minutes after the guy arrives. If he can’t, it is $400. I was willing to pay but the repair comes with no warranty. I called a 2nd guy who told me he won’t even work on a 3 year old tv. I loved my big widescreen. I thought that tv’s last 20 years.
A brand new 40 inch plasma is $800..
try to unplug your tv and let it sit for like 5 minutes…mine did that too…it was my electric pole it blew a thingy outside and I had to replace it …in other words not enough electric to run the tv…put try to unplug..
